St. Clement Parish will be hosting a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training workshop on Wednesday, August 13. Did you know that 1 in 5 adults in the US lives with some form of mental illness; and that 130 persons die by suicide every day? MHFA training teaches you how to recognize, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance abuse challenges among adults. In our rural area, we face so many mental health challenges and barriers. The more people who receive MHFA training, the more that we can reach out to others, and whose lives can be supported, changed and even saved. Be the Difference! Sign up for the Mental Health First Aid Training on August 13 from 9 AM to 5 PM. To register, email [email protected], or call 608-821-3050. Two hours of online pre-course work must be completed before the training. Register ASAP!

GRIEFSHARE AT ST.CLEMENT
Grief after the death of a loved one can be overwhelming. One can experience a host of feelings,
thoughts, behaviors and physical reactions that can make one question one’s own mental wellbeing.
There is the notion that, “time heals all wounds.” This is untrue. Time can bring healing, but it’s often what we do during this time that brings about relief and renewed hope in the grief journey. It has also been said that, “grief shared is grief diminished.” All who have been involved in the GriefShare bereavement support group can attest to this truth. Through video, discussion and sharing, GriefShare is a 12-session process that brings people together who have experienced loss and who seek support that is confidential and who also seek healing in their unique journey.
Our next GriefShare support group will begin on August 21 from 6-8 PM at St. Clement Church. To
register on-line, go to: www.griefshare.org and choose “find a group.” You will see St. Clement
listed. If our day/time are not the best for you, you will also see other offerings that may be a better fit.
You can also contact Marcia Hampton at 608-732-8849 if you have questions or want to register.

Adoration begins at 9:00 AM, and will continue throughout the day and night, concluding with Benediction at 9:00AM on Saturday morning. The sign-up sheet for volunteering an hour with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament can be found by the Fatima Chapel. Meet us at 3:00 p.m. for a half hour of adoration and confession before Father Greg Ihm gives a reflection on friendship! Afterwards, join in on great food, a few drinks, and socialization. Bring the kids if you would like, we have childcare provided!
