We the people of St. Mary's Catholic Church hold that because all men and women are created in God’s image and likeness and that the same divine teaching on how they should live is written in every human heart, all persons are to be treated with dignity and equality, each person having the same fundamental rights and responsibilities.
We hold that the Church’s mission, grounded in the Gospel, is to proclaim and show forth Jesus’ Good News of how to live a fully human life as images of God in individual and communal justice and love. We hold that the Church realizes this mission within the context of the laws which it enacts to foster and preserve the spirit of the Gospel and to assist its members as they endeavor to live in the love of God and neighbor. -
St. Mary's First Holy CommunionSunday, April 26, 2026
Congratulations to Zaylee Guthrie, Bodey Hamilton and Chloe Spaeth who are celebrating their First Holy Communion at St. Mary Church this Sunday, April 26. We are grateful to their parents for following through with the promises they made at their child's Baptism to bring them up in the practice of the faith. May God continue to bless them as they teach their child about Christ's love and presence in the Eucharist.

Our next host week at St. Clement begins on Sunday, May 31. While that seems far away, it will be here soon. We continue to seek to expand our pool of volunteers for this important outreach to families with children experiencing homelessness. Recently, some member churches of the LAC have committed to help us and the Lancaster United Methodist Church during our host weeks. We also have a few people who assist us from Ss. Andrew-Thomas, and one person from Fennimore. But we do hope that others from our pastorate will join us in our work to support families experiencing a very difficult time for them and their children as they seek housing.
