Welcome to St. Charles Borromeo ChurchEstablished in 1856
In 1673, Father Marquette and his companion Louis Joliet would have gazed on the area of Cassville as they traveled down the Mississippi to the entrance for the Arkansas River. Then in the 1830's, Blessed Fr. Samuel Mazzuchelli ministered to families in southwestern Wisconsin. He did much to inspire the establishment of parishes in this area of Wisconsin along with other priests from Prairie du Chien and Potosi. The first Mass was celebrated in the Cassville area in 1852 and the parish was established in 1852. While St. Charles' wasn't officially established by Fr. Mazzuchelli, it continues his mission of bringing Christ and the sacraments to people in this historic area of Wisconsin.

Our next host week at St. Clement begins on Sunday, May 31. While that seems far away, it will be here soon. We continue to seek to expand our pool of volunteers for this important outreach to families with children experiencing homelessness. Recently, some member churches of the LAC have committed to help us and the Lancaster United Methodist Church during our host weeks. We also have a few people who assist us from Ss. Andrew-Thomas, and one person from Fennimore. But we do hope that others from our pastorate will join us in our work to support families experiencing a very difficult time for them and their children as they seek housing. St. Charles CCW Bake Sale “Thank You” A very special “THANK YOU” to our St. Charles Bake Sale coordinators, Phyllis Adrian and Kate Lenz for their dedication and planning of our recent bake sale. Their hard work, and the wonderful treats made by our ladies of the parish made it a great success. The turnout of the baked goods was outstanding. We feel blessed to have the support of the Pastorate and Community in purchasing our treats. NEWS FLASH! On Monday afternoon, we were told that a relic of St. Dymphna, patron of those with mental illness, will be in our pastorate this weekend! The relic will be at the following churches on Saturday: St. Clement at 5:00 p.m., and St. Mary, Help of Christians, Glen Haven at 8:00 p.m. On Sunday her relic will be at St. John Church, Patch Grove at 8:00 a.m., and St. Andrew, Tennyson at 10:00 a.m. There will be time for prayer and veneration following the Masses.
