Our next Family Promise host week at St. Clement begins on Sunday, February 15. With this date coming up quickly, you will find the volunteer sign-up sheets on a table in the back of St. Clement Church. We need to continue to expand our pool of volunteers, and so we invite anyone in our pastorate to join us as we bring hope, support and Christ-like compassion to families with kids experiencing homelessness. As mentioned previously, one of the families that was in the program was able to move into an apartment just before Christmas, but they need a few items to furnish their home. These include a working washer and dryer, dressers, lamps, and nightstands/end tables. If you are able to help with any of these items, contact Kim Jacobson, the Director of Family Promise of Grant County, at 723-3355. Also, she is looking for someone with a truck or trailer that can help move a couch to the family’s apartment in Platteville. If you can assist with this, contact Kim at the above number.
